Pete Fraser Fitness has a strong and established background in exercise therapy or restorative and preventative exercise. As exercise physiologists and exercise scientists our post graduate clinical experience was developed in Harley Street therapy clinics working closely with medics and physiotherapists. Our abilities in exercise therapy practice has continued to evolve over 20 years to encompass a range of support processes to help manage and resolve a range of musculoskeletal issues.

 

What is exercise therapy?

Exercise therapy focuses on preventative and/or restorative exercise for the purpose of:

  • balancing the musculoskeletal system to correct poor alignment, improve mechanics and prevent injury
  • Injury rehabilitation, often in combination with physiotherapy, to improve mechanics, correct imbalance and strengthen the musculoskeletal system
  • Posture correction to improve general alignment
  • Strength, conditioning and mobility for older age groups to improve coordination, balance, structural support and general health
  • Pre-natal exercise to maintain health and fitness for mothers-to-be

Through sport and life, injury can arise. When it occurs Pete Fraser Fitness can provide a measured and scientific approach to managing your recovery. Our team have years of experience working within clinical environments. Following injury and acute care, our trainers can help you regain your strength, mobility and flexibility. During any period of rehabilitation it is important to maintain fitness and we will help you to do this by adapting training methods appropriately, eliminating strain on the injury and continuing your fitness programme in parallel with rehabilitation.

We work closely with physiotherapists and other medical practitioners to provide a complete package of care. With our many years of experience providing support we can also recommend professionals for consultation as necessary.

 

Posture correction

Our physiologists place great importance on injury prevention through postural improvement, re-alignment and muscular conditioning. This reduces the overall risk of injury. We call this prehabilitation and integrate this procedure into our clients’ workouts.

Your initial sessions will focus on assessment of your musculoskeletal alignment and physiological variables. We will decide on the most appropriate modes and intensities of exercise for you.
